The 7th Annual Canada Gala. Hundreds of Canadians and Americans sharing a gourmet feast. Dancing to the sounds of Shelley and the Curves. Pomp and circumstance. Thousands of dollars in door-prizes, table favours and Canadian treats. Special guests. Making new acquaintances and seeing old friends. University colleagues sharing a reunion.
This is what the Canada Gala has become as the signature event of the Canada America Society of Washington.
This year, we will again celebrate the special relationship between Canada and the United States on Friday evening 6 October at the Seattle Westin Hotel. Our very special guest will be Washington Governor Christine Gregoire. TheHonourable Michael Wilson, Canada’s Ambassador to the United States, is our Honorary Chairman.
We are absolutely delighted and most appreciative to the Enbridge Corporation of Calgary for joining us as the Gala’s Principal Sponsor. In addition, the many Auction, Door-Prize, Table Top and Business Card Sponsors identified on the enclosed ‘Early Ticket PurchaseForm’ are evidence of the reputation the Gala has achieved.
Numerous Canadian Universities are partnering with us again to offer their alumni a unique ‘branch’ experience. Cross-border businesses, government agencies, organizations and groups find the Gala the perfect venue to entertain clients and colleagues. A short live-auction raises funds for the CAS Scholarship Fund. Celebration is the focus of the evening and we do hope you will join us!
Seating at the Gala is based on the date tickets are purchased (check received / no IOUs). The price includes the 4-course dinner with wine, live entertainment, table favours and prizes, no-host reception and an equal chance at the many spectacular door-prizes.
Tickets are just $90 USD per person, or save $100 with a table of 10 for $800. 2006 CAS members may purchase a maximum of 2 seats for $80 each. The Westin is offering a rate of $155 per night. You may call 888-627-8513 and ask for the Canada Gala group rate.
